Dr Shakeel Ahmad is an experienced specialist General Practitioner who has been living on the Gold Coast since 2019.
He has a caring bedside manner which makes him popular with both his young & not so young patients & brings a wealth of experience from his time on Fraser Coast & Ipswich Hospital.
Dr Shakeel has been in the medical field for over 16 years & is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
He has a keen interest in children’s health, chronic disease prevention & management which includes diabetes, cardiology, infectious diseases & mental health. He also enjoys the areas of pain management, aged care, Women’s & Men’s health, accident & emergencies.
Dr Shakeel completed his Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Pakistan in 2004. He worked as a Research Fellow in the USA (Sunny Downstate Hospital, New York) after completing his USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examinations). Dr Shakeel enjoys the challenges and diversity of his general practice work and is happy to take on new patients.
